Dame Vera celebrates her 90th birthday at gala dinner

Dame Vera celebrates her 90th brithday with a host of starsOn 20 March 2007 the charity celebrated the 90th birthday of the President Dame Vera Lynn DBE LLD by holding an exclusive birthday dinner in her honour in the elegant setting of Hertford House, home of the Wallace Collection.

The dinner was attended by stars from the stage and screen, including Sir Roger Moore; Rolf Harris; Cilla Black; Ronnie Corbett; June Whitfield and Eric Sykes.

The evening was a huge success and featured in the April edition of Hello! Magazine. One of the highlights of the evening was a surprise visit by Dame Edna Everage, who presented Dame Vera with a bouquet of gladioli.
